The Cycling GK that is Ben Foster makes his football return on Saturday after signing a short-term deal with Wrexham AFC, and fans are excited after seeing him with a Go-Pro camera at the stadium. The former Premier League star announced his retirement at the end of last season, and even turned down a brilliant offer from Newcastle to continue playing. However, with Wrexham needing a goalkeeper at short notice to help them during the final six weeks of the National League season, Foster couldn’t resist after being approached.
Foster became a star on YouTube after posting matchday vlogs while with Watford in the Championship, and his videos offered a different perspective as he placed a camera inside the goal during games. Upon being promoted this had to stop due to Premier League rules, but it looks as though they could be back.
The former Manchester United and Watford star has become more than just a professional footballer in recent years, switching his attention to become a YouTube personality and starting a popular podcast. Foster has gained over 1.2million subscribers since staring his YouTube channel, but fans missed his ‘Go-Pro vlogs’.
But their prayers could be answered as with Foster back in action, the vlogs look to be back too. Fans were wondering if Foster would be able to bring them back, but he was seen clutching his camera while turning up for the match.

Wrexham face York City on Saturday, as Foster makes his return and also his first appearance for the Welsh side in 18 years. Foster spent time on loan at Wrexham towards the start of his career, and recently said he owes it to the side for helping him breakthrough in the sport.
Foster was brought in to get Wrexham over the line, as they have just eight games between now and the end of the season. Wrexham are top of the National League by three points and with a game in hand over Notts County.
Both sides have only lost two games all season, and are in a league of their own at the top of the table. But Wrexham were handed a huge blow when goalkeeper Rob Lainton picked up an injury this week.
Foster has come in to save the day, and not only will he look to get Wrexham back into the football league as a parting gift, he’ll be able to secure priceless content for his YouTube channel. If his vlog couldn’t be any more anticipated, owner and actor Ryan Reynolds is also in attendance for Foster’s return to football and could feature in the final cut.
