Former Chelsea star Eni Aluko now works for Hollywood actress and tennis icons
Former Chelsea star Eni Aluko has revealed she works for a plethora of A-list investors in the US National Women’s Soccer League.
The 35-year-old former England international enjoyed a stellar career in which she reached over a hundred caps and won three WSL titles before hanging up her boots in 2019.
But since May 2021, Aluko has tried her hand at something different by relocating to Los Angeles to become the sporting director of Angel City FC.
And it is there that she came under the employment of a star-studded majority female ownership group that included several well-known Hollywood figures.
Among the lengthy list of high profile backers are Natalie Portman, Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, James Corden and Jennifer Garner.
And Aluko admitted it made for a daunting Zoom interview after she was approached following her stint as Aston Villa director.
She told BBC Sport: "I remember thinking, 'don't look at them – look at your notes and the presentation and try to deliver as best you can what you would do'. And they loved it."
Aluko, who ended her career at Juventus, says the chance to join the California-based franchise was a once in a lifetime opportunity she could not pass up.

She eventually decided to swap the comfort of staying in England to work with household names in a project that has already sold 14,000 season tickets.
