Forgotten Chelsea signing ‘set for talks over game time’ after constant snubs
Amid the madness of Chelsea's transfer window, one player that arrived has found himself without a single minute to his name.
Denis Zakaria joined from Juventus on deadline day during a frantic summer for the Blues where new owner Todd Boehly flexed his financial muscles. Nearly £300million was spent on the likes of Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
But Thomas Tuchel was desperate to see a midfielder brought in and parachuted Zakaria in from Juventus at the 11th hour after injuries to N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic. However, days after the window shut and the German was sacked and Graham Potter has been brought in.

Now the Switzerland international does not even make it onto the bench and talks are set to go ahead over his game-time, reports Fabrizio Romano. Whether that involves the midfielder returning to Juve or getting his wish of some minutes for the Blues remains to be seen.
Having signed on loan, there might be some reluctance to give game-time to a player that will not be around for long. When Chelsea made the decision to bring in the Swiss star, there was an injury crisis in midfield but several postponed games in September lightened the load and allowed players to recover.

However, there remains problems with Kante – who has suffered a fresh setback in his recovery from injury and is set to be on the sidelines for a considerable time more.
Graham Potter said: "N'Golo, we're just waiting for his reaction from his training. It is certainly not ideal [his reaction] so we will have to wait and see the extent of it and go from there. It's not ideal and it is disappointing for him and for us."
The France international came off against Tottenham in August and has not played since but was training recently until an injury relapse. It puts his condition in serious question ahead of the World Cup.
