Manchester City, Brighton, Blackburn and Fulham all booked their place in the FA Cup next round last night and eight clubs will seek to join them today as the race to Wembley intensifies.

There is a number of interesting storylines continuing to bubble away off the pitch too. Developments regarding the takeover of United continue at pace while pressure on Graham Potter’s shoulders at Chelsea remains high.

Manchester City ‘interested’ in Chelsea duo

Manchester City are reportedly interested in Chelsea duo Mateo Kovacic and Ben Chilwell with Pep Guardiola keen to strengthen his side next season.

The Croatian’s contract expires in 2024 and there is a growing feeling he will be allowed to leave in the coming months according to the Telegraph.

The England international has been a long-term target for the Sky Blues with left-back now a position of weakness following the departure of Joao Cancelo. Ekrem Konur has stated that he remains someone of interest to the club.

Liverpool face Juventus transfer battle

Liverpool could reportedly be set to go head-to-head with Juventus for the signing of Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.

CalcioMercato reports that the Reds are in ‘pole position’ for the Dutch international but the Old Lady are also interested in his signature. A move to Turin is believed to be more complicated however due to the finances involved.

Midfield has been a position of weakness at times for Jurgen Klopp this season and one he is likely to try and address over the summer.
