Football fans reckon Everton are relegated as Toffees yet to score this season

Everton fans will be wishing the 2023/24 Premier League season had never started after watching the Toffees fall 1-0 to Wolves at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

Sean Dyche's side lost their third game of the young season, failing once again to keep a clean sheet against a side who were dismantled by Brighton & Hove Albion 4-1 a week prior.

Through three games, Jordan Pickford's goal has been breached six times. But perhaps more worrying for Dyche and Everton is the fact they have yet to score this season so far.

Against Wolves, their profligacy in front of goal was stunning. Summer signing Arnaut Danjuma agonisingly hit the post, while midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure thought he had scored Everton's first of the season, only to have his goal chalked off for him being off-side.

And then, late on against Wolves, the Toffees were made to pay when opposing striker Sasa Kalajdzic headed home his first Premier League goal to confine Everton to another disappointing defeat.

For the last two seasons, Everton have battled relegation, surviving by the skin of their teeth under the management of Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche. However, after seeing them fail to score again against Wolves, some football fans believe Everton are already down, despite them having 35 games left this season.

Will Everton finally get relegated this season? Let us know in the comments section below.

A fourth commented: "F*** off Everton! This Club is going down unless a Striker is in by the end of the window, couldn’t score in a fucking brothel!" And a fifth said: "Another season where we’re relying on 3 teams to be worse than us…."

Everton's attack might be about to receive a major boost in the form of Udinese striker Beto, who has according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano is set to travel to Merseyside for a medical, with the Portuguese forward will cost the Blues around £30million.
