Footage shows wreckage after ‘BMW carrying ex-Prem star’ crashes into wall
Footage has emerged showing a wrecked BMW that crashed into a garden wall involving several Gillingham players.
The smashed car collided with a front garden wall on a residential street on Thursday morning (August 25).
Neighbours claim the vehicle spun around and drove over the brickwork on Woodlands Road, Gillingham, before hitting a parked car on the driveway and causing a garden wall to be damaged.
It’s believed that former Crystal Palace and Wales ace Jonny Williams was involved in the crash, alongside team-mates Timothee Dieng, George Lapslie, Macauley Bonne and Cheye Alexander.

The crash took place near the League Two club’s Priestfield Stadium and Gillingham’s training ground, with the footballers understood to be on their way to or from training.
As reported by Kent Online, a local resident said: "It looked like everyone was okay because there were no ambulances.
"The players got picked up by colleagues in other cars and then the driver [of the BMW] waited. Police were there waiting for recovery, but it looks like the car has been recovered now.
"It looks like it’s caused a lot of damage. The neighbours are shocked. The guy who lived there was opening his curtains as it happened so he saw it.
"This road has a school on it. It’s lucky it’s school holiday time or people could have been hurt."
The owner of the parked car that was struck and the garden wall that was damaged didn’t wish to speak at length regarding the incident but said the driver “is a nice bloke, it was an accident.”
A police spokesperson told Kent Online: “Kent Police was called at 10.51am to a collision involving three cars. Officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported and arrangements were made to recover one of the vehicles.”
Gillingham have been faultless at the beginning of the season, picking up maximum points via four consecutive 1-0 wins, even beating Southampton 3-1 in the EFL Cup first round.
Neil Harris will be hoping the incident doesn’t see his players lose focus as they host rock bottom of the league Colchester United on Saturday.
