Footage of Man City bus slated as fans have seen ‘bigger crowd waiting for pint’

Footage of Manchester City's team bus arriving for their Premier League final day showdown has been slated by rival fans who have "seen a bigger crowd waiting for a pint".

The City social media account shared a video of their squad and staff travelling towards the Etihad ahead of their clash with Aston Villa and wrote: "Ready and raring to go." But what caught the attention was the size of the crowds lining the streets to welcome their team.

A Villa fan replied: "What is that. Seen a bigger crowd waiting for a pint." Another supporter of Steven Gerrard's side wrote: "Like 8 fans."

"Seen a bigger crowd waiting for a pint," echoed a comment from a Stoke fan. And Liverpool supporters couldn't resist taking the mick out of their title rivals.

One asked: "Where is everyone?" Another joked: "Bigger crowds at A-League games." "Nothing will ever convince me that this isn't a tinpot club," added a fellow Reds supporter.

Jurgen Klopp's side were also met with a welcoming party as they made their way to Anfield for their match against Wolves, prompting one fan to write: "Doing their best to copy us but there's only about 100 people there."

Once Pep Guardiola and his players reached their destination, they were greeted by City fans who had waited outside the ground. They arrived through a sea of blue smoke with several flares having been set off.

Guardiola brought John Stones back into the side to face Villa, while Fernandinho was also named in the starting XI.

Victory for City will see them lift the Premier League trophy for the second consecutive season, while Liverpool will be hoping to capitalise should they slip up.
