‘The worst camera angle EVER’: Angry fans slam Sky Sports for ‘completely awful’ footage of incredible Carabao Cup final penalty shootout, as they beg the broadcaster to stop ‘ruining’ the action and claim the behind-the-player shot BLOCKED their view

Fans were left in uproar over Sky Sports’ camera angle during the penalty shootout between Liverpool and Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday. 

Jurgen Klopp’s side emerged victorious from a tense penalty shootout after Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga rocketed his spotkick miles over the bar. 

The Spaniard came off the bench in the closing stages of extra time specifically for the shootout, but would not have expected to step up to strike from the spot himself.

However, he found himself taking the final penalty of the game after all 21 players before him were on target. 

But supporters watching from home were not able to enjoy the action from the spot due to Sky Sports’ camera angle for the shootout. 

The broadcaster showed the spotkicks from behind the penalty takers and fans claimed that angle blocked the view.  

One viewer wrote: ‘Sky have managed to select the only possible camera angle for these penalties where the view is obscured by the taker. Well done everyone.’

‘Absolutely awful camera angle on the penalties in my opinion,’ said another 

Alongside a GIF of Simon Cowell, one Reds supporter wrote: ‘Sky Sports camera angle for the penalty shootout is terrible.’

Another Liverpool fan claimed it was ‘the worst camera angle ever’ for a penalty shootout.

While another viewer branded it ‘appalling’, saying: ‘The camera angle for these penalties is f***ing appalling.’

Some viewers urged the broadcaster to stop using the angle, insisting they ‘hated’ the shot.

‘Dear Sky Sports, BT et al, please stop this terrible behind-the-player penalty camera angle. It’s completely awful,’ one viewer wrote.

While another said: ‘Dear Sky Sports. ENOUGH WITH THAT DANGLY CAMERA ANGLE. Yours, Everybody.’

‘Dear Sky .. stop with this stupid camera angle on the Penalty shootouts ..I absolutely hate it!@SkySportsP,’ added another.  

Fans took to social media to beg the broadcaster to stop using the camera angle in the future
