Fans left baffled as Spiderman spotted watching Mount take corner at Tottenham
Fans were left baffled during Chelsea's 3-0 aggregate win over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night after a Spurs fan was spotted in a Spider-Man costume.
The super-hero enthusiast was spotted on camera behind Mason Mount just before Antonio Rudiger netted the only goal of the night to secure a 1-0 win for the Blues, who followed up their 2-0 triumph in last weeks first leg.
The result means Chelsea will face either Arsenal or Liverpool in next month's final.
Unfortunately for the Spurs fan, he had a super view of the goal that ultimately killed off his sides Wembley hopes.
And fans online certainly saw the funny side after Tottenham were dumped out of the cup by their London rivals.
One user on Twitter quipped: "It makes sense that SpiderMan is a Tottenham fan, it explains all the webs in their trophy cabinet".
Another tweeted: "spiderman casually chilling at the chelsea game" while another posted: ""Spurs are that bad Spiderman can't even help them lol."
Another couldn't help but make fun of Tottenham's loss by tweeting: "SpiderMan – Can’t Win At Home" in a play on the recently released Spider-Man: No Way Home blockbuster that was released in cinemas last month.

Film star Tom Holland, who plays the web-slinging superhero, is a huge Tottenham fan – which may have been the inspiration for the supporter's outfit.
Holland made headlines last month when he met megastar Kylian Mbappe and jokingly tried to convince the French striker to ditch PSG and sign for his beloved Spurs.
Unsurprisingly, Mbappe laughed off any idea that he'd join the club.
Although they've been snubbed by Mbappe, Spurs fans are still hoping for a busy month under new boss Antonio Conte in the transfer market.

The Italian coach was reportedly lured to north London with the promise of funds to overhaul Tottenham's struggling squad.
But some fans have been left alarmed by the lack of activity so far at Spurs in January.
Conte reportedly pulled no punches in a tense meeting with Tottenham chief Daniel Levy and director of football Fabio Paratici.
The ex-Chelsea coach, who won the Premier League title in his maiden season at Stamford Bridge, is reportedly desperate to add a right-back, a midfielder and a striker to his squad this month.
