Fans claim Man Utd target ‘does not want to be there’ during Bayern photoshoot
Fans have claimed Benjamin Pavard ‘does not want to be there’ as he was spotted looking glum during Bayern Munich’s Oktoberfest photoshoot.
All Bayern players and members of Thomas Tuchel ’s coaching staff, except Harry Kane who was absent due to the birth of his fourth child, took part in the fun Bavarian tradition as they donned Lederhosen and those who could, held aloft a pint of beer.
But one player looked completely awkward during the shoot, as his team-mates smiled and held up their pints, wantaway defender Pavard stood at the back, in the far corner, and couldn’t raise a smile or his glass.
The Frenchman has been linked with moves away from the Allianz Arena this summer, with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag keen to add Pavard to his Old Trafford backline.

Pavard is reportedly willing to force through a move but United aren’t alone in his pursuit with the 27-year-old’s previously reported £38.7million asking price well within the reach of Europe’s top sides.
And the moody Frenchman couldn’t have made it more obvious he wants out during Bayern’s photoshoot, with one fan commenting on a zoomed in picture of Pavard’s face: “That man does NOT want to be there”
Man Utd fans – do you think Benjamin Pavard would have been a good signing? Let us know in the comments section.
A second said: “Pavard looks like he would rather be in front of a firing squad!” While a third sarcastically commented: “Pavard looks so happy,” a fourth wrote: “Pavard has already resigned internally.”
Pavard’s wish may not be too far away, but as United struggle to free up funds after Harry Maguire’s proposed £30million move to West Ham collapsed, Ten Hag may have missed the boat on the versatile defender.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday (August 23), that Bayern confirmed Pavard missed training due to illness, amid him waiting on the ‘green light’ from Bayern to fly to Milan to join Inter in a €32million deal – far short of the fee United were previously quoted.
