Fans breathless after Juventus match ends in most chaotic finish of all-time
You know a match has been crazy when the sight of Juventus wearing pink in their 2-2 home draw against Salernitana was not even mentioned.
Within the space of five injury time minutes, Bianconeri forward Arkadiusz Milik headed home a last minute winner, was then sent off for taking his shirt off while celebrating said last minute winner, and was left spitting feathers when his header was sensationally disallowed by VAR for a dubious offside decision. Having recently erupted in pure joy, the Allianz Arena exploded into a fit of rage when the goal was stunningly wiped from the scoreline.
Incredibly, Milik’s header and the resultant carnage proved to be a mere aperitif for the action that quickly bubbled to the surface. Two more players and a manager were then given their marching orders as the contest gave way to an immense brawl.

From the top now. The Serie A minnows appeared to be on their way towards a historic victory when Antonio Candreva and Krzysztof Piatek both found the net in the first half. However, Gleison Bremer’s second half goal halved the deficit, before Leonardo Bonucci broke Salernitana hearts with a dramatic equaliser.
From the next attack, Milik flicked home a wonderful header to secure a stunning three points and rip the roof off the stadium. The Polish international was then given his marching orders for taking his shirt off when he was already on a yellow card.
However, his header was then chalked off by VAR as the officials believed an offside Bonucci had interfered with play. Unsurprisingly, this decision poured rocket fuel onto an already burning atmosphere, triggering a melee rarely seen in football.

The more eagle eyed viewers and spectators would have spotted the dismissals of Salernitana ace Federico Fazio and Juventus veteran Juan Cuadrado who were both given their marching orders for their angry reactions. If that was not enough, an upset Massimiliano Allegri was given a red card for his angry protestations to the referee and his assistants. It is safe to say Serie A, Italy, and the footballing world are still trying to draw breath.
"The phrase that the game had everything is often overused. Juventus however have moved the bar to the next level,” one fan posted after the madness ensued. "Refs got some writing to do," another added, citing the many red cards and incidents the official will have to detail in his report. "Milik’s gone, Fazio’s gone, Cuadrado’s gone, Allegri’s gone… Game’s gone,” one furious supporter posted.
“But people tell me VAR is used without controversy in other leagues,” another fan laughed. “Five minutes of pure chaos like only Serie A can deliver,” one passionate Serie A advocate added.
