Fans adamant Glenn Hoddle slipped in C-bomb live on BT Sport in major blunder

Fans are convinced they heard Glenn Hoddle drop the C-bomb live on BT Sport before hurriedly correcting himself.

The former England boss was on punditry duty for Chelsea's Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday and produced an awkward slip of the tongue while talking about the positive atmosphere Graham Potter had built around Stamford Bridge.

What Hoddle presumably meant to say was that Chelsea's squad was a "happy camp", but viewers are adamant the Tottenham legend said "happy c***" instead.

Fans leaped onto social media to highlight the blunder, with one user tweeting: "Glenn Hoddle casually dropping the C-bomb live on BT, and another commenting: "I’m not the only one that heard @GlennHoddle say Happy C*** after the Chelsea game, am I?"

"Let’s not pretend we didn’t hear that, Glenn Hoddle," wrote another, while a fourth said: "Excuse me! A happy what, Glenn?"

Hoddle's comment was in response to footage of Mason Mount sharing a laugh with his manager on the touchline following Kai Havertz' second-half stunner.

Chelsea's win secured qualification for the knockout rounds and top spot in the group was confirmed following AC Milan's victory over Dinamo Zagreb later in the night.

Mateo Kovacic gave Potter's side the lead in the first half with an opportunistic slash from the edge of the area, but Chelsea were pegged back after Salzburg's Junior Adamu grabbed a well-taken equaliser straight after the restart.

The game was aptly won by a piece of individual brilliance from Havertz, who curled his effort into the top corner from 20 yards out, to end Salzburg's impressive 40-game unbeaten streak at home.
