The FA Cup semi-final draw has taken place during the half-time break of Leicester and Manchester United’s quarter-final showdown on Sunday evening.

Whoever comes out on top in that clash at the King Power, which Brendan Rodgers' men currently lead 2-1, will meet Southampton in the last four of the competition at Wembley next month.

Chelsea will be locking horns with runaway Premier League leaders Man City in the other semi-final tie at the national stadium.

The two crucial fixtures are set to go ahead on April 17-18, with the all-important final to come a month later on May 15.

Southampton earned their place in the semi-finals by picking up a 3-0 win away at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Moussa Djenepo opened the scoring for Saints, before Nathan Redmond fired in a brace to continue their impressive run in the competition.

City snatched a 2-0 victory away at Everton later that evening thanks to late goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin de Bruyne.

Chelsea then joined them in the hat for the semi-final draw on Sunday afternoon, edging out a hard-fought 2-0 win over Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge.

Oliver Norwood’s own goal gave them liftoff in west London, before Hakim Ziyech added a second in stoppage time to relieve Thomas Tuchel’s men of some late Blades pressure.
