Expected Chelsea XI for FA Cup final from Thomas Tuchel’s squad vs Leicester
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will be looking to pick up his first piece of silverware since joining the Blues when his side face Leicester in the FA Cup final this evening.
Despite sitting just below their opponents in the Premier League, Chelsea are fairly heavy favourites to come away victorious at Wembley.
The Champions League finalists don’t have any pressing injury concerns, and the clash will give Tuchel a chance to see who is ready to step up in Porto later this month.
The German has typically stuck with a 3-4-2-1 style of system with two-backs and two no. 10’s, and he is highly unlikely to spring any changes in such a big game.
So with kick off not far away now, here is the expected Chelsea XI to face Leicester in the FA Cup final.
In goal, Tuchel has already confirmed that Spanish stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga will start ahead of Edouard Mendy.
"If you have a goalkeeper for this competition, as we have had with Kepa, you don't change in the final," he said. "He is a part of the group, he brought us to the final so he deserves to play the final."
In the back three, veteran duo Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta are sure to start, while Kurt Zouma may get the nod ahead of the fit-again Andreas Christensen as the Dane has only just returned.
At left wing-back, Ben Chilwell is likely to line up against his former club, while on the right, the more solid Reece James will likely start ahead of Callum Hudson-Odoi, with the usual-winger certainly in line to come on off the bench.
And in the middle, N’Golo Kante is sure to play a vital role in breaking up the Leicester attacks, while Jorginho will be hoping to put his dreadful mistake against Arsenal behind him with a better display at Wembley this afternoon.
In the playmaking roles, Mason Mount is arguably Chelsea’s most important player these days, while it will be one of Kai Havertz or Christian Pulisic alongside him – more likely the former.

And up front, Timo Werner will hope to have his shooting boots on today and lead his side to glory and put right a pretty disappointing first season at Stamford Bridge.
