Ex-Man Utd star slams ‘f*** up’ Maguire who ‘had to play as he cost so much’
There was a time when Harry Maguire was undroppable at Manchester United… no seriously.
Not, we might add, because he was playing out of his skin, but rather because he cost the Red Devils so much bloody money that they didn't want to be seen admitting they'd completely wasted it.
Rival fans have treated Maguire like a punching bag for years, but now his former team-mates are getting in on the act, with ex-United defender Marcos Rojo claiming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told him Maguire "had to play".

"One day I went to Solskjaer's office to tell him to let me leave for another club or put me in the starting line-up. I said it was wrong that I wasn't playing," he TYC Sports. "But he told me that Maguire had to play regardless because they had paid so much money for him.
"He was making huge mistakes every week already and I told Solskjaer: 'Son of a b****, let me play because this guy is making huge mistakes every week'.

"Thank God they have taken him out now and Licha [Lisandro] Martinez is playing," he added.
Rojo was left out in the cold following Maguire's £80m arrival in 2019 and was loaned out to his boyhood club Estudiantes a few months later. He left permanently in 2021, joining Boca Juniors.
Maguire, meanwhile, limped on in the first team with Solskjaer appointing him club captain in 2020, though his form dipped alarmingly at the start of the 2021/22 season and he was mercifully dropped by interim head coach Ralf Rangnick.
Erik ten Hag picked up from where his Austrian predecessor left off, treating Maguire as little more than a back-up – save for the two disastrous weeks at the start of the campaign. The England defender has made just seven starts in the league this season and is shoo-in for the summer chopping block.
