Ex-Man City star who cost £8m now looks like real life Jesus with chiseled body
Rolando Bianchi spent just one season at Manchester City and failed to make any sort of impression during his time in the Premier League.
But the Italian has gone on to become quite the physical specimen despite hanging his boots up five years ago.
Once upon a time, he would have been begging the Lord Almighty to hit the target but now he resembles something more like Jesus.
Since retiring from football in 2017, the former Italy Under-21 international has turned his hand to a number of other crafts.
Turning 39 on Tuesday, he owns a vineyard in northern Italy where he has his own wine named Il Risveglio Valcalepio Rosso, a red with dry and bold tastes.
However, despite it being a passion of his, the general public have not agreed with his wine business failing to take off as of yet.
As well as swilling wine glasses, Bianchi is also in the process of becoming a horse trainer – another wild hobby – and his Instagram is full of pictures of him riding tending to his ponies.
One post includes Bianchi even helping one of his horses give birth, including the caption “La bellezza della NATURA”, translated to “the beauty of NATURE”.
The former striker enjoyed and endured a topsy-turvy career while his few months in the Premier League hardly made him a household name.
After joining City in 2007 from Reggina for around £8million, then owned by Thai businessman Thaksin Shinawatra, the Italian scored on his debut against West Ham.
But it did not get much better than that, scoring a further five times while criticising England’s food and alcohol culture.
That January, City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson told the striker that he was free to leave and that month he joined Lazio on loan – never to be seen again on these shores.
However, Bianchi would rekindle his career that summer when he left for Torino – where he is revered to this day.
After five years at the Turin club, he became their 10th highest goalscorer and has returned to the area to live out his days as a winemaking-Jesus-looking-horse trainer. Forza Rolando.
