Ex-Liverpool star who paid £50 fine with 1p coins is now back in Premier League
Lawrence Vigouroux has made it back to the Premier League after starring in the lower division – where he once made headlines while paying a fine.
The goalkeeper, a former Chile youth international, has signed a three-year deal at Burnley after being named as Leyton Orient's player of the year for three seasons in a row.
His time at Orient began a year after left Swindon, where he had been on loan from Liverpool before it was made permanent. Although he impressed on the pitch at The County Ground, he got himself in trouble with manager Mark Cooper.
He then tried to pay a £50 fine in pennies – a total of 5000 coins, before being sent back to Liverpool to explain his actions.

The misdemeanour was only described as an "an individual indiscretion" before Cooper explained via the Liverpool Echo: "Lawrence is going to come back, he is very humble and very apologetic.
"He knows the way he behaved was wrong and he has been in the changing room after the game and apologised to the players.
"He asked them if they wanted him back and they all said yes. Lawrence is an exceptional young goalkeeper and it’s important he learns from this little mishap and it will benefit his career going forward."

The 29-year-old stopper helped Orient to promotion from League Two last season and played in 45 of their 46 domestic outings.
Vigouroux was initially at Tottenham before his Anfield switch, but left the Reds permanently in 2016 before making 143 league outings for Orient in total.
After joining Vincent Kompany's newly promoted side, he wrote on Instagram: "Absolutely delighted to have signed for @burnleyofficial thank you all for the messages. Now time to work!"
Having told the club website: "It’s amazing to be here! Unbelievable training ground to be a part of. Really happy to be here.
"You only have to look around where we’re working and training every day. This was the right step and the right way to go. Hopefully I can leave an impression here.
“The style of play from last season. You could see from last season they have a really progressive style of play that I want to be a part of."
