  • Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Spurs are also pursuing a move for Danjuma
  • The 25-year-old’s former club Bournemouth are interested in the forward as well

Everton are hopeful of Arnaut Danjuma agreeing to join on loan from Villarreal after the 25-year old considered offers from a number of clubs.

Frank Lampard’s side sit 19th in the Premier League table and are set for another relegation scrap this season, having only survived in the final week of last campaign.

Danjuma, who has been granted permission to leave the LaLiga club on loan until the end of the season, has attracted interest across a host of top flight clubs, including Everton’s relegation rivals Nottingham Forest.

Frank Lampard is in desperate need of a new goal scorer as he prepares for a relegation fight

The Dutch star is understood to have fractured a handful of relationships with team-mates at Villarreal and has thus travelled to England to negotiate a loan deal with potential suitors until the end of the season.

Aston Villa, Tottenham and Danjuma’s old club Bournemouth have all expressed interest in the 25-year-old, who left the Vitality Stadium in 2021 for £22million.

Danjuma spoke to the Toffees at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground last weekend, with Lampard desperate to add an attacking option to his struggling squad.

Holding the joint second-worst goals record in the division, Everton’s survival could rest on the shoulders of a reliable goal scorer, as it did with Brazilian hitman Richarlison last campaign.

Anthony Elanga would favour a loan move to Borussia Dortmund if he exits Manchester United

Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga, who has interested Everton, would prefer to leave on loan to Borussia Dortmund, should Erik ten Hag decide he is surplus to requirements this season.

Everton have also asked about the likes of Moussa Dembele at Lyon and Terem Moffi at Lorient but have limited funds and are thus working on loan deals with obligations to buy in the January window.

Danjuma, who seems to have plenty of offers on the table, completed tours of Forest, Bournemouth and Rennes France last weekend.
