Everton NOT interested in selling Anthony Gordon and Richarlison
Everton are NOT interested in selling Anthony Gordon and Richarlison in a package deal with Tottenham, but a transfer involving Brazil striker and Harry Winks could be on the cards
- 21-year-old winger Anthony Gordon is unlikely to leave Goodison Park soon
- He has just completed his first season of regular first team football at Everton
- Richarlison is more likely to go, as the Brazilian has two years left on his contract
- A deal involving Richarlison and Tottenham’s Harry Winks is still on the table
Everton have dismissed the prospect of selling Anthony Gordon and Richarlison to Tottenham in a double deal.
The Merseyside club would not support a package deal for the two players, although a deal involving Richarlison and Harry Winks could still develop.
Everton ideally need to sell to ease financial pressures, and some fans have accepted this may be the right time for Richarlison to go with just two years remaining on his contract.
Richarlison scored twice as many league goals as any other Everton player last season with 10
The club would be hoping to make a profit on the Brazilian forward, who was signed from Watford for £35m in 2018.
He was a key player for Everton last year, scoring twice as many Premier League goals as their next most prolific player.
Anthony Gordon is less likely to leave, as the 21-year-old winger has just finished his first season as a regular in the Toffees’ first team and is under contract until 2025.
Winger Anthony Gordon has impressed for England U21 with four goals in seven games
He has impressed for England U21, scoring four goals in seven games since his debut last year.
Frank Lampard’s side narrowly avoided relegation last season, finishing four points above the dropzone in 16th place.
Richarlison could prove a tough player to replace, but the club’s financial woes mean selling him may still be a good option.
