Everton have reportedly registered their interest in Monaco star Aleksandr Golovin with Rafael Benitez keen to build on the two signings he’s already made this month. The Toffees have acted quickly in the January transfer window to sign Nathan Patterson and Vitalii Mykolenko.
Both players come in to strengthen Everton’s options at full-back, with Mykolenko set to take Lucas Digne’s place.
The Frenchman is close to joining Aston Villa with a fee worth £25million reportedly being accepted by Everton.
It was originally reported that Anwar El Ghazi would potentially be used as part of the deal for Digne.
But it now appears as though any deal for El Ghazi will be separate to that of Digne and talks are said to be progressing on a move for the Villa winger.

El Ghazi may well become Everton’s third signing of the January transfer window, but that might not be their last move in the market.
According to Sport Witness, Everton have already made contact with Golovin’s agent on a potential move.
The 25-year-old has proven his versatility in Ligue 1 to play in a number of positions across the front line.
He was predominantly used in a more central-attacking position last season and showcased his playmaking talents with nine assists in just 21 matches.
DON’T MISS
There were some reports in Russian media last year that Golovin had attracted the attention of Everton.
Now it’s being claimed that contact has been made with Golovin’s agent with Everton attempting to sound out a possible move.
However, Monaco reportedly have no interest in selling Golovin this month and are under no pressure to do so.
The Russian midfielder still has over two years left on his current contract and it’s claimed they would demand a fee in the region of £40m.
Little over £30m has already been spent on Patterson and Mykolenko while a further £15m will be needed to sign El Ghazi.
But Rafael Benitez is seemingly keen to improve his options further up the pitch to create more goalscoring opportunities.
Everton have found the net just 23 times this season and are without a league win since early December.
They’re back in action against Norwich this weekend though, who sit bottom of the Premier League.
