Everton fans plead for Lampard to go after ‘shambolic’ late defeat to Wolves
A number of fed-up Everton fans are calling for Frank Lampard's head following the club's agonising 2-1 defeat to Wolves on Monday.
The Toffees were downed by a Rayan Ait-Nouri 95th-minute winner, and although they were marginally the better side all evening, a section of the fanbase appear to be at the end of their tether.
"Sorry hate to say it. But Lampard out. Players are terrible but so is he," one fan tweeted, while another asked: "How many more games with disappointing results do we have to suffer before we fire Frank Lampard?"

"Today is ALL on Frank Lampard," a third supporter fumed. "We were at home. To the bottom of the table. Who were atrocious on the day. Half our team was way off it. You could tell at half time we need subs on early to change things. He did f*** all. Top managers are proactive."
A fourth fan wrote: "Striker or no striker Lampard needs to go. Another shambolic performance by Everton against the bottom of the league, at home."
It all started brightly for Everton, who initially took the lead through Yerry Mina after just seven minutes, but Wolves hit back a few minutes later via Daniel Podence.
Will Lampard be Everton manager at the end of the season? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
Lampard's side were the ones pushing for a late winner, but they threw it all away after getting caught on the break in the fifth minute of added-on time, with Ait-Nouri latching onto a deflected cross to seal a vital three points for Julen Lopetegui's team.
Lampard has been in charge at Goodison Park for 11 months, having taken over from Rafa Benitez in January with the club teetering on the edge of the relegation zone. The Chelsea legend managed to stem the tide and kept Everton in the Premier League, but has failed to take them up a gear since and the team looks set for a second-successive relegation scrap.
Up next is a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face champions Manchester City. Best of luck, Frank.
