Everton fans ‘can’t love Dyche more’ as he ‘forgets foul’ right in front of him

Footage of Sean Dyche hilariously denying all knowledge of James Tarkowski's blatant foul on Joao Felix during Everton's 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Saturday has spread on social media – and Toffees fans can't get enough of it.

The Everton boss was being quizzed on the incident, which saw Tarkowski yank Felix to the ground as Chelsea sprang forward on a counter-attack before escaping without punishment, during his post-match press conference, but pleaded total, and playfully-unconvincing, ignorance.

"I can't remember that," Dyche said as a journalist described the incident to him, noting that it was "directly in front you".

"I know I haven't seen it," he added, furrowing his brow, "I must have been focusing on something else."

Everton fans were absolutely loving the response, with one tweeting: "Never a dull moment with this Bald Ginger B******."

"That's brilliant, we haven't had a manager like this, possibly since fat Sam. He's really trying to protect and do what he can for the team," another commented.

A third added: "As if you can’t love this man anymore, he comes out with this just what we needed."

Everton grabbed a much-needed point after coming from behind twice to draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Felix initially gave Graham Potter's side the lead on 52 minutes before the Toffees hit back through Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Kai Havertz then put the home side back in front from the penalty spot, but an 89th-minute equaliser, scored by substitute Ellis Simms, ensured the visitors didn't leave west London empty handed.
