Everton branded "disgraceful" and players are "cheating" fans and manager
Jamie Carragher has fumed at Everton for their performance against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, branding them 'cheats' and 'disgraceful'.
Everton arrived at Anfield in the relegation zone after Burnley's revival following Sean Dyche's dismissal continued. And the Toffee's stuck to their game plan: frustrate the opposition by disrupting Liverpool's rhythm.
And as tension boiled over on the pitch and in the stands, Everton's behaviour also rubbed former Reds star Carragher the wrong way, and he took aim at Frank Lampard's side with some scathing comments. Carragher hit out at the tactics on Sky Sports after the full-time whistle and on commentary.
He said: "They’re cheating the manager and the supporters. To put in a performance like that. Everton haven’t won an away game since August and they need to look at themselves some of the players.
"Nothing short of disgraceful. There’s been a lot of money spent on the squad. A club like Everton not to win an away game since August is poor."
Carragher, on Anthony Gordan, added: "He’s got to be careful. He’s a great lad and player. One of the best players on the pitch but he’s got to be careful with that. Maybe he’s not been given what he deserves because of previous."

Everton had frustrated Liverpool in the first half, with both teams yet to find the net.
Gordan was left aggrieved he wasn't given a penalty when Joel Matip appeared to shove the youngster in the back. However, play was waved on and Andy Robertson finally gave Liverpool the breakthrough.
Liverpool found the net again as they continued to put pressure on Manchester City, while Everton have moved into the bottom three for the first time this season.
