Erling Haaland has set out his transfer conditions to suitors including Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona. The striker is expected to be the subject of a major battle between Europe’s top clubs for his signature in the summer window.

He has starred since joining Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg just over two years, developing into one of the best forwards in the world.

The Norwegian international has an astonishing record in front of goal in the Black and Yellow of the Bundesliga club.

He has scored a remarkable 80 goals in just 79 games, firing them to win the DFB-Pokal last season.

But after two years at Signal Iduna Park, his time with the club is set to be over when the summer window opens.

Many of Europe’s top club have made their interest in the 21-year-old clear, with a major battle expected over him.

According to AS, Haaland has formed a ‘close bond’ with former Swansea City and Rayo Vallecano star Michu.

And the Spaniard has now revealed that Haaland has laid out his conditions for his next club to him following a conversation.

“I was with Haaland and I had a conversation with him. I don’t think he’s going to continue at Dortmund,” Michu told Cadena SER.

“Haaland is looking for a very strong team that can compete in the Champions League. He’s looking for a competitive team.”

That news would appear to be bad news for United and Barcelona, who are both embroiled in the Champions League places in their respective leagues.

There is encouraging news for the La Liga giants though, with Michu revealing that they are Haaland’s preferred destination, despite the uncertainty over their Champions League future.

But Kylian Mbappe’s impending move to Real Madrid would likely spell the end of their interest.

Michu also made it clear that Haaland is seeking a long-term project, with the financial offers less of a priority.

“He gave me the feeling that he’s looking for a long-term sporting project and he told me he likes Spain,” the former Swansea star added.

“He’s thinking more about a sporting project than from an economic perspective.

“If [Kylian] Mbappe goes to Real Madrid, I think Barcelona would be a very good option. And in these times, Haaland is cheap.”

Haaland is set to have a release clause in the region of £67million become active at the end of this season, making him available for an astonishing low price.
