Sergio Reguilon was left stunned by Erik Lamela’s sensational rabona goal to open the scoring for Tottenham against Arsenal on Sunday. The Argentina international expertly poked the ball through the legs of Thomas Partey and into the corner of Bernd Leno’s net to hand his side a 1-0 lead in the second north London derby of the season.

The match began with Arsenal on top, knocking the ball about nicely to put the pre-match talk about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s surprise absence behind them.

However, Lamela’s ridiculous finish sparked his side’s game into life, and what a brilliant piece of skill it was.

He picked the ball up just inside the Arsenal box and fired a pinpoint rabona through a crowd of home defenders to score a goal worthy of winning any north London derby.

The reaction of team-mate Reguilon reflected the reaction of most onlookers, with the Spurs defender putting his hands to his head in utter disbelief.

JUST IN: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped by Arsenal for disciplinary issues

The goal was Lamela’s first in the Premier League since the beginning of the season.

Unfortunately for the winger, Tottenham’s lead did not last long, with Martin Odegaard putting Arsenal back on level terms shortly before half-time.

Spurs can move up to fifth place in the Premier League table with a win, while Arsenal can leapfrog Aston Villa to grab ninth with a home victory.

Jose Mourinho’s side coasted to a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture back in December, with deadly duo Son Heung-min and Harry Kane on target at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Much of the pre-match debate on Sunday centred around Mikel Arteta’s decision to condemn star striker Aubameyang to the substitutes’ bench for a breach of discipline.
