Enzo Fernandez has urged Chelsea to sign Joao Felix on a permanent basis.
Felix joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for a loan fee of £9.7million in January, with Fernandez describing his team-mate as ‘a great player’.
So far Felix has scored one goal in four appearances for Chelsea, and Fernandez believes that there is more to come from the 23-year-old.
Fernandez, who also arrived at Chelsea in the January transfer window, told The Guardian: ‘He called me when I got here to ask if he could be any help. When you get on with someone, it helps on the field.
‘He’s a great player, isn’t he? Let’s hope that Chelsea can do all they can to keep hold of him.’

Felix himself has suggested that he may end up staying at Stamford Bridge.
Although he was sent off on his debut against Fulham and subsequently served a three-game ban, Felix has shown some encouraging signs since returning to action.
Felix spoke of the greater freedom he has been afforded at Chelsea.
Speaking to Eleven Portugal, Felix said: ‘The position I play, and the way we play at Chelsea is different to Atletico. Clearly I have more freedom to put my football into practice, to be at my best to help the team.’
‘I feel good playing here. It’s just a matter of getting results and it will be perfect.’
Graham Potter’s side have struggled recently but Felix could have an important part to play
Although Felix is enjoying his spell at Chelsea, Graham Potter’s side are going through a very difficult period at present and are currently languishing in tenth place in the Premier League.
Prior to his loan departure from Atletico, Felix had endured a difficult relationship with manager Diego Simeone.
Chelsea are back in action on Sunday when they face Tottenham away.
In addition to Fernandez and Felix, Chelsea also brought in Benoit Badiashile, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Andrey Santos, David Datro Fofana and Malo Gusto, with the latter returning to Lyon on loan.
