England WAG shares what VIP guests were treated to at Wembley before Croatia win

An England WAG has shared what the VIP guests for the Euro 2020 win against Croatia were treated to at Wembley.

The Three Lions made history by winning their opening game of the tournament for the first time ever with a 1-0 victory against their World Cup conquerors.

Gareth Southgate’s stars have had to prepare without seeing their other halves due to Covid-19, with the wives and girlfriends forbidden from hotel visits.

But they were allowed to watch the game at Wembley, which saw Raheem Sterling score the only goal of the game after 57 minutes.

And some of them shared images of the experience that greeted them in the home of English football.

Anouska Santos, girlfriend of Manchester United star Luke Shaw, shared a snap to her 23,300 Instagram followers of the menu the WAGs could choose from in the pre-match meal.

Choosing from appetisers to start with, they had crab or pasta to eat before a main of either beef or wild mushrooms.

While the four-course meal was finished off with a rhubarb trifle – with three more courses available to the WAGs after the match including fish and chips.

Each of the England stars’ wives and girlfriends were also treated to a match day programme as well as being given an ID card with their partner’s photo on it.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan Davidson included snaps from Wembley on her Instagram page, showing a three-piece band in a cut-off area of the 90,000-seater stadium.

While the children of the players were also allowed to get their faces painted ahead of the game.

Davidson also shared a snap of five of the WAGs wearing their England shirts and posing for the camera.

Pickford’s wife is joined by Kieran Trippier's partner Charlotte, Harry Maguire’s wife Fern Hawkins, Kyle Walker’s model fiancee Annie Kilner and Santos.

The WAGs are expected to be at Wembley again on June 18 as England take on Scotland in their second Euro 2020 group game.
