England fans love Rice’s tribute to "brother" Phillips after Denmark masterclass
England fans can not get enough of Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips after a midfield masterclass on Wednesday night.
It comes after a 2-1 win at Wembley that has seen the Three Lions progress to the final of Euro 2020.
But they did not do it the easy way after tournament sensation Mikkel Damsgaard fired Denmark ahead in the first-half with a sublime free-kick.
England had to fight back but they always looked in control, largely down to a superior midfield display from Rice and Phillips.
The duo have been brilliant throughout the competition and they were on fire again, locking down the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Thomas Delaney.
Gareth Southgate has largely relied on the midfield pivot, which has left Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson struggling to start.
And it is easy to see why after the partnership they have forged, with Rice commending his “brother” Phillips.
In a tweet, that has since been deleted, the West Ham star tweeted a picture of the two captioned: “That’s my brother.”
Fans have been loving the combination in the middle of the pitch, with one saying: “You know what goes really nice with Rice? Kalvin Phillips.”
Another said: “Rice and Phillips are the glue of this team! The boys run their b******s off every game and make so many crucial interceptions! They have been the unsung heroes.”
While this fan said: “How did we struggle so much in games with Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes but we make it look so easy with bloody Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips.”
A fourth tweeted: “Not going to lie I didn't rate Phillips & Rice before the Euros but both have won me over during the tournament.”
And this supporter wrote: “Southgate wanting to play the Rice-Phillips double pivot has had extraordinary results – England are in the final & they've conceded a solitary goal along the way.”

It has been a remarkable run with England not set to take to Italy at Wembley on Sunday night to potentially win their first-ever European Championship.
After the match, Southgate was over the moon with the result and said: “I’m so proud of the players. An incredible occasion to be a part of.
“The fans were incredible all night, we knew it wouldn't be straight forward.
“The game in Rome was so straight forward, we said to the players we'll have to at some point show resilience and come back from some setbacks.”
