England's kits for the 2022 World Cup have been leaked online and while fans have praised manufacturer Nike for the away strip, the home shirt leaves a lot to be desired.

The Three Lions' official home and away kits are yet to be officially unveiled by the American clothing brand, however, both strips have been leaked online by footyheadlines. Rival manufacturers Adidas and Puma have already gone public with their designs for the quadrennial international tournament – and both have also received heavy backlash from supporters.

First taking the reins for the 2018 World Cup, Nike's instantly recognisable logo has been displayed on the Lionesses Euro 2021 winning strip as well as the men's Euro 2020 final kit.

And as Gareth Southgate aims to go one better this time around, England could well be backed by a wall of red – such is the popularity of the away kit.

Harking back to the Three Lions' 1966 triumph, Nike have reverted back to England's more traditional alternate colours for the upcoming World Cup following a royal blue number at the 2020 European Championships. The red base is accompanied by a classy navy collar, receiving high praise from fans on social media.

"I like the away one, little throwback to 1990," commented one fan. "The away is banging," agreed another. "The away kit is near-perfect," harked a third.

However, reviews for the home shirt, white with blue gradient colouring on the shoulders, weren't quite so positive. "Home shirt is horrific, looks like a crap training top that Sports Direct would be selling off for £10 for the next 4 years," blasted one disgruntled supporter.

"Possibly the worst England home kit there has ever been," slammed a second. "They don’t even want it to come home at this point," joked a third.

As England are the home side for their first two fixtures against Iran and the United States, and only deemed the away side against Wales – who play in red, it's likely the Three Lions will only get the chance to don their away colours should they progress to the knockout stages.
