Arsenal defender Ben White is reportedly set to miss out on Gareth Southgate’s first England squad since the World Cup in Qatar. The Three Lions boss is set to confirm his election for Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine on Thursday afternoon and it’s understood White will miss out.

The decision comes after the 25-year-old left camp in Qatar due to personal reasons which remain undisclosed.

It had been reported that White allegedly didn’t see eye-to-eye with England coach Steve Holland and was distant from some of his team-mates in camp.

England, Arsenal and the player have refused to go into details on the decision but Mikel Arteta declared earlier this week that White was ready for selection if called upon.

The Mirror are now reporting that White will be left out of Southgate’s squad which is likely to spark further conversation about his international prospects under the current Three Lions boss.

That’s particularly given White has been in fine form at club level with Premier League leaders Arsenal having recently scored in the dramatic 3-2 win over Bournemouth.
