Brazilian superstar Endrick is poised to pick between a selection of Europe’s most powerful clubs after the New Year, with Chelsea firmly in a three-horse race for his signature. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also involved, but the player’s priority will supposedly boil down to which club can best support his development.
Endrick’s breakthrough into senior football has been hotly-anticipated for some time. The 16-year-old Palmeiras star scored at a remarkable rate in the club’s youth ranks and his exploits have continued since stepping up to the men’s game.
Since making his senior bow last month, Endrick bagged a brace on October 26 to become the second-youngest scorer in Brazilian league football history. Many are convinced that his journey to the top is simply a matter of time as Chelsea, Madrid and PSG attempt to beat the rush.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are key members of the transfer race but Endrick’s stance will be determined by where he feels he can grow and develop best.

One of the three clubs is set to thrash out a deal with Palmeiras early next year, with the move to officially go through in 2024 when Endrick turns 18. Chelsea will hope that squad roles for fellow youngsters Carney Chukwuemeka, Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja will convince him and his family that first-team opportunities would be possible at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have already held several meetings with Endrick and his representatives according to reports, and new co-owner Todd Boehly spent his first transfer window at the helm flexing his financial muscles. It remains to be seen how much money they would be willing to slap on the table for a player not long past his 16th birthday.

Real Madrid supposedly believe that they are in pole position to sign the Brazilian, having pulled off a similar coup by snapping up Endrick’s countryman, Vinicius Jr, from Flamengo in 2018. PSG could also have a say in the transfer tug-of-war given that they can boast huge riches, as well as the opportunity to play alongside Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Stocky with a low centre of gravity and a lethal shot, Endrick has drawn comparisons to compatriots such as Ronaldo and Romario. Among those to shower the teenager with praise is Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus, who also rose through the ranks with Palmeiras.
“I’ve been following Endrick a lot,” he told ESPN. “Wow, he’s a star. Phenomenon! He’s 16 now, right? When I was 15, I was in the academy but he’s in the seniors. I’m really rooting for him. I think Palmeiras are doing well by involving him in training and taking him to games.
“I remember when I was 17, and I went to a game against Atletico-MG. Just being on the bench, it was a top experience. I believe Palmeiras are doing a very good job with him. I went through it too and I know that his anxiety to play is huge. Of course, Endrick can score goals because he has that quality, but we also know that, being very young, he has the issue of anxiety.”
