‘Dumb’ Crystal Palace told to ‘hire Ted Lasso’ as Roy Hodgson link sums up chaos
Crystal Palace have been told that they might as well bring in AFC Richmond boss Ted Lasso having been linked to Roy Hodgson after sacking Patrick Vieira.
Despite Lasso being a fictional character played by Jason Sudeikis in the hit Apple + series, fans think that they've made a mistake in sacking Vieira to then be linked to a former boss.
With Hodgson leaving Palace in 2022 before a short spell with Watford, rival fans have questioned their decision-making process while sitting 12th in the Premier League.

One fan said: "Clearly got no plan, so thought f*** it, bring Roy back as a firefighter… should've stuck with Pat, smh."
A rival fan added: "They should hire Ted Lasso. Dumb decision imo to fire Vieira when they haven't invested in the squad as much as they should!"
Another posted: "Ted Lasso to Palace. Here we go." A third laughed: "@AskPaddyPower odds for @TedLasso next palace manager."

Sudeikis' character is a former American college football coach who moves into soccer with the fictional Premier League team, winning over support with his charm.
Although their league position of 12th doesn't seem fitting for a sacking, Palace have won one game since returning from the World Cup break, losing seven of their 13 matches.
On the flip side, the Eagles have only twice lost by more than one goal and have upcoming fixtures against Leicester, Leeds, Southampton, Everton and Wolves.
With Palace placing their former defender Paddy McCarthy in interim charge for their game against Arsenal, the club offered up a short statement.
It read: "Paddy McCarthy led first-team training this morning, and will manage the side against Arsenal on Sunday.
"The former club captain, and current U21s Head Coach, will be joined by U21s Assistant Coach Darren Powell and goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely."
