Dortmund blow 2-0 lead after 89 minutes to lose 3-2 in Bundesliga barnstormer
Football fans have been left gobsmacked after Borussia Dortmund managed to blow a two-goal lead in the 89th minute.
Dortmund had led at Signal Iduna Park thanks to goals from Julian Brandt and Raphael Guerreiro – but Werder Bremen were able to pull one back through Lee Buchanan in the 89th minute. Four minutes later Gregor Kobel was picking the ball out of his net again as Bremen levelled.
But more heartbreak was in store for Dortmund as Bremen found a winner in the 95th minute. And football fans have been left confused as to how Dortmund unravelled so spectacularly.

One fan joked: "I swear this happens with Dortmund about once a month!"
"Betting on the Bundesliga is actually nonsense. They f*** you over on purpose," a second fumed. While a third added: "Borussia Dortmund have to be the biggest bottle jobs in European football."
A Manchester City fan joked: "Thank f*** we saved [Erling] Haaland when we did. Dortmund are a mess."

Saturday's loss was Dortmund's first of the season after they breezed past Bayer Leverkusen and SC Freiburg in their opening two games of the new season.
Bayern Munich are now the only unblemished side in the league – and they can continue to be perfect should they beat VFL Bochum on Sunday afternoon.
