Derby County lead tributes after young goalkeeper dies suddenly aged just 18
Derby County have paid tribute to young non-league footballer Fin Bowen who suddenly passed away this week.
Bowen, was just 18 when news of his death surfaced on Tuesday morning. His cause of death is yet to be revealed, but the teenager's untimely passing sent shockwaves around the football world.
Before his tragic death, Bowen had been playing as a goalkeeper for Mickleover, who feature in the Southern League Premier Division Central. The young stopper was on the rise at Mickleover's academy, and had made his first-team debut in August.

The club were heavily impacted by Bowen's death and shared a heart-warming tribute to him on Twitter, sharing their devastation, documenting his progress with coaches, and vowing to always keep his legacy alive.
A club statement read: "Yesterday morning Mickleover FC tragically lost one of our own, goalkeeper Fin Bowen. At 18 years old, Fin was an integral part of the clubs academy under the guidance of John McGrath, Pablo Mills and Andrew Dales.
"He made his competitive first team debut away at Leiston in August after impressing in pre-season. Everyone at the club is devastated to hear of Fin's passing and will go to every effort to ensure he is never forgotten at the Don Amott Arena, Rest in Peace, Fin."
Mickleover's warm words prompted Derby to leave an emotion-filled message of their own to the youngster. Bowen had trained with the Rams on several occasions before making his debut for Mickleover, and the Championship side were visibly affected by his passing.
The club wrote: "Devastating news. Fin trained with us several times last season to aid his development. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all at Mickleover. Rest in peace, Fin."
The Rams weren't the only side to pay tribute to Bowen. A slew of non-league minnows including Alfreton Town, and Bedford Town, also offered Mickleover their condolences.
