Kevin De Bruyne has revealed how he was left in he lurch by his team-mates after inspiring Manchester City to a crushing win over title rivals Arsenal.
De Bruyne scored twice and set up a third for John Stones as Pep Guaridola's men demolished Arsenal 4-1 to take a huge step towards becoming English champions again.
City are now just two points behind Mikel Arteta's side but with two games in hand – and red hot favourites to go on and defend their title. Guardiola's stars celebrated in the dressing room afterwards – but were nowhere to be seen when De Bruyne got back in there following numerous media duties.

When asked how he celebrated the win, the Belgium international said: "To be fair, by doing about 15 interviews. When I got back to the dressing room, most of the team was gone."
De Bruyne has taunted Arsenal by telling them they were lucky to escape the Etihad without an even bigger thrashing. The midfielder added: "I think we've been playing well for months, winning most of the games.

"There is more space in behind with Arsenal as they go to man to man. That meant there was more opportunities for me to run into the space and get the ball. I think we created enough chances.
"I just try to play the best football I can. It was fine, picking the right moments to go in behind and I think we really hurt them in that first half on occasions. We could have scored more."
City now take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday as they bid to continue their fantastic form and keep the pressure on Arsenal at the top. Arteta's men are without a game this weekend, but will face Chelsea at the Emirates next Tuesday.
