David Beckham missed Cruz’s birth to hang with A-list babes – Victoria was livid
Victoria Beckham revealed the time she was left furious with husband David Beckham after he missed the birth of his son Cruz to hang out with Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce.
Cruz was born in Madrid in 2005 while Beckham was playing for Real Madrid, unlike the birth of her elder sons Brooklyn and Romeo, Cruz was the first to be born outside of London. And Victoria revealed how she had to go through with the birth in a foreign country without David by her side.
The revelation was spoken about during the new-four Netflix documentary about the Beckhams, as Posh gave an emotional insight into the birth of their third child. Victoria recalled how she was shown a newspaper cutting which saw David in the middle of A-list singers Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce.

Speaking about the moment during a fractious time in their marriage, Victoria said: “I was like, ‘Seriously, I’m about to burst, I’m on bed rest. Are you kidding me?! You’ve got a damn photoshoot with Jennifer Lopez who is gorgeous and not about to have a baby.

“So I had my C-section and I remember lying there, I don’t feel at my most gorgeous, let’s just say, and I remember someone showing me the front page of the newspaper which was a gorgeous picture of David between Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé and the headline was ‘What would Posh say?’ Let me tell you what Posh would say. Posh was p****d off!”
The birth of Cruz came just two years after David was alleged to have had an affair while playing in Spain in 2003, something that was also addressed in the documentary by the family. The couple profusely deny the rumours of an affair but still admitted the strain put enormous pressure on their relationship.
A teary Victoria revealed in the documentary: “It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us. Here’s the thing — we were against each other if I’m being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.
“But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.”
