Damning stat Man Utd on strikers and defenders says it all about their problems
Manchester United's defenders are outscoring their attackers in the Premier League, and the damning stat has laid the Red Devils' problems bare.
The Red Devils were back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon as they beat newly-promoted Luton Town 1-0 at Old Trafford. Victor Lindelof was the only man to find the net – the third time a defender has scored for them in the Premier League.
Amazingly, only one United attacker has found the net in the Premier League this season. And that goal was scored by Marcus Rashford in their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal back in September.

"Our attackers are so s*** that poor Lindelof is having to score goals," one fan fumed. While a second replied: "Lindelof having to come in clutch because the attackers are s***!"
"Lindelof is a better finisher than our attackers I feel sick," a third said. And another added: "Do attackers even score for Man United?"

Rasmus Hojlund was unable to get on the scoresheet again for the Red Devils, with the Dane now firing blanks in all nine of his Premier League games. However, there was concern for Hojlund after he limped off against Luton holding his hamstring.
Hojlund has been the man of the moment in Europe – and he snatched a brace in the week – but he has yet to turn that form into domestic goals.
United's next Premier League clash will see them travel to Goodison Park after the international break. Erik ten Hag's side are currently sixth in the league, but they could still drop to seventh if Newcastle win later in the evening.
