‘Cursed’ Kim Kardashian sees Messi lose record days after Arsenal’s heartache
The 'Kim Kardashian curse' reared its head again as her presence at PSG's loss to Rennes brought Lionel Messi's record to an end.
Just days after her impromptu appearance at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, where she witnessed the Gunners crash out of the Europa League after they lost on penalties to Sporting, Kim was back in the stands to watch another European titan.
This time it was PSG who were blessed with the reality TV show icon's presence. But under her gaze, the Parisiens crumbled to Rennes on home soil after failing to lose at the Parc Des Princes stadium in 715 days and 35 games before she arrived. Messi was in PSG's side for the majority of those days following his arrival in Paris in 2021.

But the Argentine was powerless to stop his side from sliding to their first home defeat in just under two years. And fans are convinced that Kim K is to blame.
Under a clip of Kanye West's ex-wife at the game in Paris, one fan declared: "Arsenal lost, PSG lost….Yep, it's a curse." And a second fan insisted: "Oi I don’t want her anywhere near my club."

A third supporter implored: "Don’t you ever go back to any Arsenal game! We’re close to winning the Prem." While a concerned Manchester United fan said: "Theatre of dreams isn't accessible to you Kim….Thank you."
But a Chelsea follower hopes the Blues can lean on Kim's apparent bad luck to help them get past Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final and wrote: "Please visit the Santiago Bernabéu on April 12th. Help a Chelsea fan out."
Gunners fans will also be hoping Kim's 'curse' doesn't rub off on Bukayo Saka, who spent time speaking with the megastar and her children on facetime following Arsenal's defeat. But Kim's in good company as fellow superstar Drake's 'curse' has also been blamed for a slew of major sports upsets.
