Crystal Palace are in talks to sign Bayern Munich defender Chris Richards.
The 22-year-old USA international centre-back spent last season on loan at Hoffenheim and will be pushed further down the pecking order following the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus.
Richards also had a fresh offer from Hoffenheim but is keen to join Palace if they can agree a fee.

The USA international spent last season on loan at fellow Bundesliga side Hoffenhem
He came through the youth ranks at FC Dallas before going on loan to Bayern in 2018, a deal which was made permanent the following year.
Richards has made five appearances for the German champions and eight for the national team.
At Palace, he would have to battle with the likes of Marc Guehi, Joachim Andersen and James Tomkins for a starting spot.
Richards would become Palace fourth signing of the summer after Cheick Doucoure, Sam Johnstone and Malcolm Ebiowei.
Patrick Vieira’s side will start the new campaign with a home game against Arsenal of August before travelling to Liverpool the following week.
