Juventus have no plans to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a contract extension in the near future despite the Portugal star approaching the final year of his deal in Turin.
The former Real Madrid star was widely criticised this week after turning his back on the goal which effectively knocked Juve out of the Champions League.
And now the club’s chief football officer, Fabio Paratici, has said they will not rush to tie Ronaldo down, instead choosing to let him consider his options.

He told Sky Italia: ‘Fortunately, there’s a year left on his contract; we have time eventually to discuss it with him.
‘Let’s just say it’s not on the agenda right now.’
A move to America and Major League Soccer is likely to appeal to Ronaldo should he choose to let his contract with Juventus expire in 2022.
And Paratici admits the club will be powerless to stop him leaving, should he decide to begin ‘another experience’ elsewhere.

‘Cristiano has his career in his hands,’ he added.
‘Always with these great players you know that when they decide to end their experience with one team and move on to another experience, it’s they who decide, and you have to respect that decision.
‘We have to consider how he will feel in order to continue or not once his contract expires.’
Ronaldo came under fire on Tuesday night after turning his back on Sergio Oliveira’s decisive free-kick for Porto in extra-time of their Champions League last-16 second leg.
Oliveira’s strike made it 2-2 on the night in the 115th minute and crucially gave Porto an extra away goal, meaning Adrien Rabiot’s late winner three minutes later counted for nothing.
Ronaldo turned his back in the wall as Sergio Oliveira scored a low free-kick in extra time
Italian media claimed Ronaldo had ‘betrayed’ Juventus with his poor defending and had disappointed throughout the entire 120 minutes in Turin.
Former England boss Fabio Capello also slammed the former Real Madrid star for his role in Juventus’ shock elimination.
‘That was an unforgivable error,’ Capello said in his role as Sky Sport Italia pundit.
‘In my day, you chose the players who went into the wall and they couldn’t be someone afraid of the ball. They were scared of the ball and jumped away from it, turning their backs. That’s unforgivable.’
