Cristiano Ronaldo ‘told to snap out of strop’ by Solskjaer after Man Utd loss
Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly fuming after Manchester United’s 4-2 loss to Leicester City on Saturday and had to be spoken to by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Portuguese star was visibly annoyed at his side’s lacklustre performance and result, prompting him to try to storm down the tunnel after the final whistle.
But The Express claim manager Solskjaer stepped in and prevented his star player from walking off without acknowledging the travelling United fans, who had watched their side get dismantled at the King Power stadium.
The 36-year-old’s frustration comes following a dismal run of form for Solskjaer’s side which has seen them fall to fifth place in the Premier League.
United were off to a decent start following Mason Greenwood’s trademark clinical finish but soon lost a grip on the game.
Leicester equalised courtesy of Yuri Tielemans before the away side completely fell apart defensively, leading to three goals being conceded in the last 13 minutes of play.
That left Ronaldo frustrated as he sought to hit the dressing room straight away, as he tried to do against Everton previously before being consoled by Andros Townsend.
But it took an intervention from the manager to put some sense into the former Real Madrid man, with Solskjaer pointing at the away end, at which point Ronaldo obliged.

But many of the Red Devils faithful are on the superstar’s side despite the lack of sportsmanship on show.
One fan took to Twitter to say: “Ronaldo is not there to see his team lose, he’s a winner and he likes to win. Manager and players should put their act together and start playing to win!”
Another United supporter added: “He could have gone to a team with an actual good manager and instantly won trophies and awards.
“We’re wasting all these great players with a clueless manager.”
He will have an even tougher task at hand in the coming weeks as United play five of the traditional 'top-six' in their next six league games.
