Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo will once again make history, breaking an incredible record when Portugal take on Hungary in their opening match of Euro 2020.
In the opening match of Group F, Ronaldo will be the first man to play in five separate European Championships having represented his country at Euro 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016.
The four time Ballon d'Or winner first appeared for Portugal at a major tournament in the opening game of Euro 2004, scoring a consolation goal in A Seleção's 2-1 defeat to eventual winners Greece.
Ronaldo also scored in the shootout win against Sven Goran Eriksson's England, as Portugal finished runners-up of the competition.
The 36-year-old has come a long way since his first showing at a major tournament, picking up accolade after accolade at the European Championships.
Even when he had to be substituted after 25 minutes in the Euro 2016 final, Ronaldo kicked every ball from the sidelines and marshalled instructions to his teammates as Portugal won their first ever international tournament.
Ronaldo returns five years later with the aim of becoming one of the most decorated players in the competitions history.

Named three times in the UEFA European Championship Team of the Tournament, the Portuguese marksman is one goal away from becoming the all-time leading goalscorer at the Euros, just one of the records he can break this summer.
Ronaldo is currently tied with Andreas Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas with 11 wins at the European Championships, he needs only one more to stand alone as the most successful player in the history of the Euros.
From the tears of 2004, to the elation of 2016, Ronaldo has certainly made his mark on the European Championships.
