Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly not going anywhere this summer amid rumours that he is set to turn his back on the Red Devils. And it has been revealed that Bayern Munich are not interested in signing him, despite reports to the contrary.
United signed Ronaldo for a second time last summer after they prised him away from Juventus. The Portugal international penned a two-year deal at Old Trafford and bagged an impressive 24 goals during his first season back in England.
But the northwest outfit struggled on the pitch as they finished sixth in the Premier League table and missed out on Champions League qualification.
Ronaldo often cut a frustrated figure during the last campaign as his team-mates floundered. And there has been plenty of speculation in recent months that he will soon be on his way out of the club with claims coming out of Portugal on Thursday night that he has told his inner circle he could leave due to fears of United’s struggles to strengthen in the transfer market.

Spanish publication Diario AS reported that Bayern were keen to land Ronaldo if Robert Lewandowski quits the Bundesliga and moves to Barcelona. But, according to Sky Germany, the German giants don’t want to sign the 37-year-old as he doesn’t fit the club’s transfer philosophy. And Ronaldo reportedly wants to remain where he is anyway with Sky Sports reporting that he ‘isn’t going anywhere’.
During his two spells at Old Trafford, Ronaldo has contributed 142 goals and 71 assists in 330 appearances. And he will get the opportunity to work with Ten Hag for the first time when he returns for pre-season training.

What Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag told Frenkie de Jong to spark dramatic transfer U-turn
But the veteran has reportedly revealed that he is concerned by the Red Devils’ lack of transfer activity this summer. United have been linked with the likes of Barcelona genius Frenkie de Jong and former Brentford star Christian Eriksen as well as Ajax trio Jurrien Timber, Lisandro Martinez and Antony. But no moves have yet materialised.
Ronaldo is used to winning trophies after landing the Champions League five times as well as league titles in England, Spain and Italy. And he will be desperate to win silverware once again next season. So Ten Hag will be under pressure to build a team that can compete on all fronts if he is to keep Ronaldo at the club.
“I am looking forward to working with him,” Ten Hag said as he spoke about the blockbuster star following his appointment. “Ronaldo is a giant, because of what he has already shown, and I think he is still very ambitious. Of course I want to keep him in. He has been very important for Manchester United this year and can show great statistics.”
