Cristiano Ronaldo makes decision on Juventus future after Allegri talks

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has told Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri that he wants to stay at Juventus this summer.

Ronaldo was reportedly offered to Manchester City earlier this summer, and links have persisted with mega-money moves to PSG and Real Madrid.

His former side Manchester United have also been monitoring his situation with the Old Lady.

The 36-year-olds contract is up next summer, and Juventus risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

However, Ronaldo looks set to snub his suitors and stay put in Turin after telling Allegri that he is staying at Juventus, according to Goal.

Earlier this week, Allegri told reporters: "Ronaldo didn’t play on Thursday because we were coming off a heavy training workload and I gave him half a day off.

"Ronaldo is an added bonus for us, because he guarantees a large number of goals. Obviously, we also have to work as a team to get the best out of an individual.

"He has always trained well, I just read the gossip in the papers. He never told us he wanted to leave.

"Ronaldo told me that he is staying at Juventus."

Ronaldo arrived at Juventus in 2018.

And he has since claimed the scudetto with the Turin-based side, but he has yet to help them to a Champions League success.

Juventus officials had hoped Ronaldo's arrival was the final piece in the puzzle needed to claim a first European success since 1996.

That season, Juventus beat an exciting Ajax side on penalties to claim their second Champions League victory.
