Cristiano Ronaldo finally reaches goal 700 and Man Utd star looks so relieved
Cristiano Ronaldo looked like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders after scoring his 700th career goal for Manchester United against Everton.
Ronaldo has had a nightmare start to the season with United under new boss Erik ten Hag. The 37-year-old has started most Prem games on the bench and tonight was no different for the Portuguese star.
However, Ronaldo was thrust into action when Anthony Martial went off injured in the 28th minute of the game. And he took just 15 minutes to make an impact by scoring the game's winner just before half-time.

The left-footed strike was Ronaldo's 700th across his glowing career, with 144 of those goals scored at United. While 450 were delivered at Real Madrid, 101 times for Juventus, plus five for Sporting Lisbon.
And Ronaldo looked relieved as the ball crossed the line against the Toffees, giving his side a much-needed win after their humiliating defeat at the hands of Manchester City last week. Although the Portugal international has been prolific throughout his career., it was his first goal of the Prem season at Goodison Park.

It was clear Ronaldo was lacking confidence earlier this week in United's Europa League win over Omonia. The Red Devils won the game 3-2, but Ronaldo's glaring miss led fans to declare that the attacker was "finished."
DC United boss Wayne Rooney also weighed in on the tough time Ronaldo's having at the moment and told his former team-mate that time catches up with everyone – in reference to CR7's age. The ex-United pals could soon face each other in the MLS after reports claim Inter Miami owner David Beckham is preparing to offer Ronaldo an escape from Old Trafford.
Ronaldo isn't the only United attacker under fire at the moment. Marcus Rashford has also felt the wrath of critics such as Roy Keane. But the England international lashed out at sceptics and explained that his sulky demeanour at times depicts his frustration when United lose as he wants to win all the time.
