Cristiano Ronaldo earnings per Instagram post as he overtakes Kylie Jenner
Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo can command more money per Instagram post than Kylie Jenner, it has been revealed. The 38-year-old, who carved out a legendary soccer career in Europe, winning five Ballon dOrs, five Champions Leagues, and many more accolades before leaving for Saudi Arabia for a lucrative contract worth hundreds of millions of pounds, has nearly 600 million followers on Instagram – nearly 200m more than megastar Jenner, 25.
According to Hopper HQ, which works out how much celebrities can make per Instagram post based on average engagement, how often they post, industry variables, and the number of followers they have, Ronaldo can command an astonishing £1.87 million per Instagram post. That sees Ronaldo rank top as the highest-paid Instagram celebrity, beating Jenner by more than £400,000 and long-time rival Lionel Messi, who has just joined Inter Miami in MLS.
Ronaldo’s rise to the top sees a dramatic increase from his 2019 ranking and earnings per Instagram post. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star was third a few years ago, earning £755,000 for each sponsored upload.
The father of five often promotes brands such as LiveScore, Therabody, and, the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Instagram could prove to be a nice boost to Ronaldo’s earnings, combined with his mega-deals with the likes of Nike, as well as his £200m-a-year contract with Al Nassr, who he joined following a disastrous first half of the season with Man Utd, and a World Cup knockout round defeat to Morocco.
Ronaldo enjoyed a fruitful start to life in the Middle East on an individual level, scoring 14 league goals in 16 appearances. Al Nassr, however, didn’t have the success that they would have been hoping for with Ronaldo up front, as they lost the league to Al Ittihad.
And pre-season has been far from smooth for Al Nassr, who is trying to lure some European talent to the Middle East as they did with Ronaldo. Friendly games against Spanish side Celta Vigo and Portuguese team Benfica ended in heavy defeats, 5-0 and 4-1 respectively. Ronaldo also failed to score against the two clubs, who he faced during his time playing in Europe.

Despite struggling to lay a glove on their European opposition, Ronaldo has still touted the Saudi League as better than the MLS, where his long-time rival Messi will play. “The Saudi league is better than the MLS,” the all-time international top scorer said.
Outside of the top three earners, Selena Gomez and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson complete the top five. Jenner’s megastar sisters Kim, Khloe, and Kendall also find themselves inside the top ten among the likes of Beyonce, and Ariana Grande. Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Neymar is the only other sports star to feature inside the top 20. The Brazilian finds himself mostly surrounded by pop stars and comedian Kevin Hart.
