Cristiano Ronaldo has brutally snubbed former team-mate Gary Neville ahead of Manchester United’s clash with West Ham on Sunday. The Portugal international was recently slammed by his old pal after refusing to come on against Tottenham. And the 37-year-old, it seems, doesn’t forgive easily…

Ronaldo seemed to be in good spirits ahead of Manchester United’s clash with West Ham, with the veteran picked from the start.

He shared a nice embrace with former team-mate Louis Saha, who previously played alongside the Portugal international at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo then went on to say hello to former Liverpool and Tottenham star Jamie Redknapp.

However, the 37-year-old then decided to run away when it came to embracing Neville – who cut an awkward figure on the touchline after being ignored.

It appears Ronaldo harbours a grudge against his old pal for recently criticising him.

Man Utd transfers: Plans for next three signings are damning on Solskjaer

After the recent 1-1 draw with Chelsea, Neville and Roy Keane argued about Ronaldo and whether he should still be starting every week as he enters the twilight years of his career.

“We know him, we love him but he can’t accept not being the star man,” Neville said live on air.

“He’s going to have to leave, that’s it. That’s all it is.”

When Keane then said Ronaldo should have left in August, Neville said: “I hope he leaves next week.

“He can say to the club, ‘thank you very much’ and find a new club, because I’d like to see him score goals until he’s 42, scoring 1,000 goals.”
