Cristiano Ronaldo and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were trolled by former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique – much to the amusement of his Instagram followers.
Ronaldo will make his second Manchester United debut in Saturday's Premier League clash against Newcastle at Old Trafford.
As he prepares to turn out for the Red Devils for the first time in 12 years, the Portugal star was snapped in a meeting with Solskjaer at the Red Devils' Carrington training base.
Enrique seized on the picture, posting it on Instagram with a hilarious interpretation of what the two might have been saying.
The former Liverpool left-back wrote: "Ronaldo: I look forward to winning trophies with you."
With United boss Solskjaer wagging his finger at Ronaldo in the picture, Enrique added: "Ole: No, we don't do that any more."
The post is a reference to the manager's failure to bring a trophy back to Old Trafford since he took charge in 2018.
Ronaldo has announced his intention to help end that silverware drought, telling the club's website : “This is why I am here.
“I am not here for a vacation. As I told you, before was good, winning important things and I wore the shirt before many years ago, but I am here to win again."

Hopes are high that the 36-year-old can achieve that aim at United, who have also strengthened with winger Jadon Sancho and centre-half Raphael Varane this summer.
But Enrique's post nonetheless raised a titter among fans of rivals clubs, many of whom responded with laughing emojis.
One replied "Post of the day Jose", while another wrote "true haha", with the post receiving more than 18,000 likes.
He also recently caused a social media stir when he vowed to "jump in the pool naked" live on Instagram if his former club Liverpool signed Kylian Mbappe.

Now 35, Enrique started his Premier League career at Newcastle before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2011 in a £7million switch.
The Spanish full-back was a mainstay during his debut season, making 35 league appearances under then manager Kenny Dalglish.
But his career on Merseyside stalled soon after, with Enrique making just 41 more appearances over the next four seasons before leaving at the end of his contract.
He spent a year with Real Zaragoza before retiring in September 2017 due to a persistent knee injury.
