Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is poised to join Crystal Palace on a year-long loan. Gallagher, 21, rejected an offer from Newcastle boss Steve Bruce and also had interest from Leeds.
Instead, Gallagher has opted to head for Selhurst Park to join Patrick Vieira’s Palace revolution.
Gallagher’s arrival comes just 24 hours after Palace confirmed the arrival of Lyon’s Danish centre back Joachim Andersen in a £17million five-year deal.
Vieira is carrying out a rejuvenation of the Eagles squad this summer, with older stars such as Andros Townsend, Scott Dann and Gary Cahill amongst others departing, and replacing them with younger players.
Palace have already brought in defender Marc Guehi, midfielder Michael Olise and back-up goalkeeper Remi Matthews.

Gallagher has been a Palace target for some time, and had a successful loan spell at West Brom last season.
Though the Baggies were relegated, the England under-21 international contributed two goals and two assists in 30 Premier League appearances.
Gallagher was a target for Palace a year ago but Roy Hodgson opted to sign Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea instead, with clubs only to make one loan signing from another Premier League club.
After penning his long-term contract, new centre-back Andersen – who spent last season on loan at Fulham – insisted he was “proud” to link up with Palace.

Anderson said: “I’m extremely proud to be joining Crystal Palace and to be playing in the world’s best football league.
“The management of the club and Patrick Vieira have given me very strong assurance that they know my qualities, they believe in me and want me to play an important role in the team.
“I have a very positive impression of Patrick from the conversations I have had with him, and I have heard nothing but great things about the manager, the club and its plans for the future.”
Chairman Steve Parish added: “In Joachim, we have added another highly-rated defender to our squad, and as a player with Premier League and international experience, we are extremely pleased to welcome him to Crystal Palace.”
