Condoms and carnage led to Stuart Pearce moving his Team GB football squad away from the infamous London 2012 athletes village – and into a nearby hotel.
Following the success of the London 2012 Olympic bid, the United Kingdom has the right to name a team as the host nation with Pearce picking an 18-man squad with three over the age of 23.
Among those overage players was England defender Micah Richards, who recently opened up about his attendance at the games, in which their manager had to take drastic action.

When asked what is was like to go to the London 2012 Olympics in a later issue of FourFourTwo, Richards said: "Absolute carnage!
"We were in the Olympic village and there was McDonalds there, Chinese food over here, Indian food over there, healthy food over here, drinks there, condoms over here – it was madness.
"But you got to see superheroes: Kobe Bryant was there, rest in peace, and Usain Bolt. It was an environment we hadn't been in before, because footballers are a bit pampered, away from everyone.

"It was just all of this testosterone in one village: weightlifters over there, swimmers over here… madness.
"Stuart Pearce was like: 'No, this is carnage.' So after a couple of nights we went and stayed in a hotel. He knew the lads were going to get up to all sorts!"
Despite moving to a quieter base, Team GB were knocked out at the quarter-final stage by South Korea, with the women's team falling at the same stage.
At the 2012 games, organisers distributed 150,000 condoms which was a record at the time, averaging out to 15 for each athlete at the games.
That record was broken in Rio 2016, with 450,000 sheath-shaped barriers handed out to competitors, with Tokyo going back down to 150,000.
